In collaboration with Brian Greenspan, Robert Biddle, and others at Carleton University, I co-designed and implemented StoryTrek, a locative hypernarrative system that generates story readings based on a reader's location and specific movements in the real world. The StoryTrek system consists of two parts: the authorware, a web-based system that allows authors to annotate Google maps with location and movement aware hypertexts, and the readerware, which runs on GPS-enabled devices, and enables readers to experience these stories in real time.
